This 800 sq foot cottage on Tilghman Island ended up being a big project with a lot of hidden issues uncovered during renovation. The previous owner had done a lot of “DIY” projects that were quite unsafe. From floor joists that were spaced over 30 inches on center, evidence of electrical fires behind the walls, this tiny space had to be taken down to the studs and more. The space was reimagined, vaulting the ceiling in many rooms, changing the kitchen layout, and making a tiny space much more practical.
